Today we had the pleasure of delivering festive treats to three local volunteers on the second day of Advent Angels.

The first bundle, which included a 4hr gardening voucher (kindly donated by Dom Duckworth) and some tasty goodies, went to Keith Andrews and Erin O’Neill. Both regularly volunteer for EPIC Games Dorset – a Portland based organisation providing opportunities for children and young people locally (many with additional needs) to socialise and make friends through tabletop gaming. All this whilst balancing their own health and the needs of a toddler and three teenagers!

The second bundle went to Sarah Turner, who was nominated by three separate people for the work she does organising beach cleans and setting up and managing the Clean Up Chesil Beach FB page. Although Sarah has had her own personal challenges this year, it’s amazing what she’s done for our Island (and we’re pleased to say she’s just signed up as an ICA volunteer too!). Huge thanks to Tina Lacey for the fabulous hamper of Avon goodies we were able to deliver.
