Our Advent Angel’s for today are two lovely ladies who have continued to work or volunteer in community support roles, whilst also caring for those around them throughout the lockdown periods.
Clair Honnor was nominated by her brother Paul for doing such a great job in her challenging role as a social worker, whilst also supporting her husband and daughter at home.
We didn’t manage to get a pic of Angela Watson, but she was nominated by her neighbours Claire and Ian. Both say they couldn’t have gotten through the year without her. She sent them care packages and looked after their houses when they were both away working at sea, unsure of when they’d be able to get home. Angela also helped them practically and emotionally, through the grief of their dad being diagnosed with cancer and sadly passing away just 11 days later. During all of this Angela has continued to volunteer for the Samaritans and has even fostered and subsequently adopted a rescue dog, Tara.
Thank you both for everything you do for our community and Merry Christmas.
