Some lovely treats given out today as part of our Advent Angels initiative.

The first went to Nikki Franklin, a local volunteer for Portland United Youth Football Club who was nominated by her friend Vicky. Nikki’s treats included a fabulous cheesecake (donated by Jen Norster), a lovely light up bottle (donated by Val Kimber) and a nice bottle of fizz (courtesy of Chesil Property Maintenance).

The second went to inspiring local resident, George Lambourne. George’s daughter Kat nominated him for a prezzie to cheer him up after a difficult year, during which he unfortunately suffered a severe bleed on his brain that left him paralysed and in hospital and nursing care for a considerable time. George used to volunteer for the Castletown D-Day Museum, so it was our pleasure to meet and give him a parcel of treated donated by local artist Lynne Newton and the Easton Coop.
