To get you in the Coronation mood, we’re launching a new Crowns for the Coronation competition as part of our Community Crafters initiative.
To enter, simply make a crown and upload a photo of you wearing it to the Community Crafters group by Sunday 30th April. Winners will be announced before the Coronation, with prizes delivered in time for the big day.
Crowns or tiaras can be made using anything you like, from flowers, felt, foam and fabric to card, wire, beads, recycled materials, crochet, pipe cleaners, twigs, shells, leaves or Origami. Just have fun and get creative.
Children can also take part in an arts and crafts workshop to make a crown with Houseworks Dorset CIC at The Islanders Youth & Community Centre on 13th April from 10am-2pm.
NB: Those in receipt of free school meals with a HAF code can attend free, with a meal provided. Those without can come along and bring their own lunch box for a donation.
Massive thanks go to the competition sponsors:
boatfolk at Portland Marina – for the Under 10s and 11-17yrs categories
Polly’s Petals – for the 18+ category
